Older cousins Josh and Daniel traveled to Ames to watch the Cyclones play basketball, so the girls hung out with Patrick all day.

Christmas and trip to Iowa

We celebrated Christmas a little early because Daddy was working overnights.  Here are the girls opening their presents Christmas Eve Day.

We flew to Iowa Christmas Day.  The girls were very good on the airplane.

Giggle Girls

The girls have had little colds, runny noses and coughs, for a couple days and that has made them a little grumpy. Friday morning I was able to get a picture on my phone of both of them smiling.

 Friday afternoon, the daycare called me and let me know that Layla was running a fever.  I had to leave work and pick her up.  We took her to the doctor and she had her first ear infection.

Saturday morning I think Layla was already feeling a little better.  I just finished feeding the girls and flipped them on their bellies.  When they looked at each other they started laughing.  I ran to get my phone and was able to record the end of their giggle fest.

Sunday we had some visitors for the day.  Aunt Ariel and cousin Bryce took the girls for a walk because the weather was beautiful.

Visit from Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit this weekend.  They arrived Thursday afternoon.  Friday we left the girls home with them while we went to work and I hear they had a great time.

Saturday Aaron had to work, but the rest of us headed north to Conroe and visited the Southern Star Brewery. At first I wasn't sure about taking the girls to a brewery, but we weren't the only people that brought a baby.  It was very kid friendly.

The weather was beautiful all weekend, and we were glad to have the company.

Cutest Pumpkins in the Patch

Today we decided to enjoy the beautiful weather and head over to a pumpkin patch.  The girls were overwhelmed, but I'm glad we went.

We had the girls' 6 month check up this past week.  Carly weighs 15 lbs. 7 oz. (38%) and is 26.5 inches (73%) tall.  Layla weighs 15 lbs. (30%) and is 26.75 inches (82%) tall. Layla has mastered rolling over and Carly has started to try.  She gets almost all the way over and then cries until she flops back on her back.  They are both so much fun!
