Ariel and Bryce drove up to Spring yesterday and we headed to the local pumpkin patch. It was very warm and the patch was packed! We checked in to see how tall we were and then we headed to pick out a good pumpkin!

Today I tried to have the girls pose for a picture with their pumpkins.
A friend of mine needed a babysitter, so I volunteered to watch her 4 month old overnight. The girls loved baby Jackson and playing with all their baby toys I made Aaron drag out of the attic.
We went outside to enjoy the weather and the girls chased bubbles around. This is the best picture I could get. It's hard to blow bubbles and take a picture at the same time!
Jackson's family came to pick him up Sunday morning and then the girls, Aaron, and I got ready for a birthday party at the Woodlands Children's Museum. It wasn't as big as the Houston Children's Museum, which turned out to be perfect!
The girls started by playing with trains. Both of them were more interested in the trees located around the track than the trains. They tried to collect as many as they could. We moved on to a toddler area with had a little slide. You had to climb a few steps, crawl through this little tunnel and then slide down a slide.
This picture captures Layla so well. She is the more timid child. Each time she got close to the slide she would look to grab my hand and then slide down.
Carly is the more daring child. Her picture was hard to catch because she would race through the tunnel and quickly go down the slide. She could have stayed there for hours.
I went to change Layla's diaper and when we were done, she choose not to go back to the slide and play with her sister. Instead she found legos and spent some time playing there. Shortly after that we went to a party room and ate cake.
I think the cake was their favorite part. After the birthday party, we went home and the girls took a bath. After that, we had a dance party. Carly wasn't in the mood to be video taped, but Layla was willing.
What a fun weekend! Tomorrow the girls head to the doctor for their 18 month check up (only a week late).
