Three weeks old
The girls are three weeks old today. They both had their eyes open, so I tried to take a picture of them next to each other.

They were content with the pacifiers in their mouth. Once I took them out, they started to get cranky.

Update
Here is a picture of me at 33 weeks pregnant. I thought I had 5 more weeks to be pregnant, but the girls had other ideas.
The morning of April 9, we woke up at 2:30am and headed to the hospital because I was in labor. Carly and Layla were born a few hours later.
The nurses handed the girls to Aaron after stamping their footprints on his shirt. He walked them to the NICU.
Because the girls were born at 35 weeks, they had to be taken to the NICU for observation. They were healthy but had to learn how to regulate their body temperature and eat by mouth.
We were able to bring the girls home from the hospital April 20, 2013. It was fun to hold them without all the wires connected to monitors.
We were practicing tummy time this morning, and Max wanted to make sure the girls were safe. The dogs are still adjusting to life with two little girls but are doing very well with them.
