What a week!

December 13 Colin made his appearance!  He was born at 9:06am.  He weighed 8lbs 14 oz and was 20" long.  We couldn't be happier!

He had lots of visitors his first day.

We got to go home from the hospital on Thursday.  Friday we had some more visitors!

My mom brought a stocking and a picture of me in the same stocking. So, of course I wanted to take a picture of Colin in the stocking.

Some people from school gave me this Santa hat and diaper cover so we attempted to have a photo shoot.  It was a lot harder than I thought it would be.  He sure is cute, though!

Today the girls got to make sugar cookies with Grandma.

Colin has the best big sisters who sure do love him.

Hocus Pocus Pops

Tonight my friends Mary and her 4 boys, and Tomi and her 2 boys invited the girls and I to Hocus Pocus Pops in the Woodlands.  Every year the Houston Symphony puts on a free Halloween themed performance.

The girls got dressed in their Halloween costumes and we were ready to go.

Before the show we walked around and collected some candy, made some caterpillars, and decorated some pumpkins.

Then we found a spot on the grass and watched the show.

Big Girl Beds

This weekend I rearranged the girls' room and switched out their toddler beds (converted cribs) for big girl beds!  We decided to buy bunk beds and keep them as twin beds for now.  The girls were so excited to try out their new beds!

The first night was a success and neither one got up out of bed!

Layla's Potty Trained!

Layla is now potty trained.  All it took was for her to successfully go on the potty one time.  I think she was afraid to try.  She wore underwear all weekend and no accidents! No more diapers.  Yay!

The girls turned 3 today!  Time seems to be flying by!

We started the day with doughnuts for breakfast.  Yum!  Then Popo, Bryce, and Aunt Ariel came over and we went out for lunch.  After that it was playtime.

This year we decided to have the girls' party at The Little Gym.  We invited a few of their friends from school and some of our family friends.  It was so much fun.  The kids got to run around and try out all the equipment.  The leaders had fun games for 3 year olds.  

After an hour of playing, it was cupcake time!

They all had a great time, even though they may not look like it here!

They will all sleep well tonight.  Happy birthday, girls!!

Carly: height-38.75" (87%), weight-30 lbs. 4.8 oz (47%)

Layla: height-39' (90%), weight-30 lbs. 9.6 oz. (50%)

Easter Weekend

Aaron had Friday and Saturday off so we drove to Bay City to spend those days with his family.

We picked up Bryce on our way.  The girls love their cousin.

We went to the park and played outside all afternoon.

 The next day the kids were excited to hunt for Easter eggs.  Nana got them all umbrellas for Easter and they used them as baskets to pick up eggs.

 Aunt Ariel brought some cascarones (confetti filled eggs).

Layla and Bryce liked them.

Carly did NOT want anything on her head, but she was happy to dump confetti on other people's heads.

                                          We also celebrated Grandpa (Ito)'s 88th birthday!

We drove back to Houston Saturday afternoon.  What a fun trip!

This morning we went to church and came home to find some Easter baskets!

Aaron had to go to work this afternoon, so the girls and I spent the day playing with bubbles.
