Easter

Aaron, the girls and I headed down to Bay City to see his parents, grandpa, and sister for Easter Sunday.  The weather was beautiful and we had a great time.

I tried to take a picture of both girls on the blanket, but they didn't cooperate.  One would smile and look at the camera and the other one would look away.  Then they would switch roles.  I was able to crop two pictures to get both of them looking up, smiling.  My goal is to master photoshop so I can put the two pictures together someday!

Layla

Layla has been standing up more often and with better balance.  Here is a picture of her standing with a little support from Nana.

Nana and Popo have a little red wagon that the girls LOVED being pulled around in.

Day at the Pool

Today's weather was beautiful!  The girls and I packed up after lunch and drove over to Lydia's house.  Lydia warmed up the hot tub and we went swimming!  Both girls enjoyed the water and spending time with Lydia and Christi.

The girls liked lounging in their floats and being held in the water.

After swimming, the girls played on Lydia's floor.

Both girls fell asleep soon after we got in the car.  It was a great day!

Happy Birthday, Girls!

Hard to believe it has been a year.  It has flown by! The same friend who took their newborn pictures, also took their first birthday pictures.  The girls weren't too excited about having their pictures taken.  There was a lot of crying, but Christi managed to get some good ones!

The girls were running a fever yesterday, so they had to stay on with Mom on their birthday.  Here is a picture of them playing in the morning.

First Birthday Party

We had a birthday party for the girls Saturday, April 5.

Carly having fun in the bounce house.
Layla and Mommy
Layla woke up with a low fever, so she was a little fussy during the day.  Carly enjoyed the fun and company.

Carly and her cake.  Yum! She wasn't a fan of having the frosting on her fingers, but she loved eating it.
Layla was a little unsure about the cake.

We tried to get a picture of some of the kids who came to the party. This was the best I could get (it was past bedtime)
