Sunday

The girls love their dogs.  This morning both of them wanted to play with Max.  He just sat there.
Who knew playing with the dog's bowl could be so much fun.
While the girls took a nap this afternoon, I filled up the pool Nana bought for them.  The water warmed up quickly in the sun and it was ready by the time they woke up.

Saturday

The girls woke up in great moods today!  During a breakfast of scrambled eggs, bananas, and milk, they were all smiles.

After breakfast the girls played together for quite awhile.  They love playing the drum!

Carly (in pink) must have been looking at something very exciting.  Layla (in blue) squeezed her way in to see what it was!
After their morning nap, we ventured to the grocery store to pick up a few things.  We bought all that would fit in the bottom of our stroller.

Then we went home for lunch and a little more play time.

Dad came home from work just after the girls woke up from their afternoon nap. A friend's son was playing a baseball game not far from our house, so we decided to go meet them.

After the game we went out to each at Alicia's Mexican Restaurant.  I didn't get very good pictures.

The girls had a bath and went straight to bed when we got home.  It was a good day!

Busy Weekend

We had a fun weekend!  Friday afternoon I took the girls to Target after work.  It was the first time without the double stroller.  I left the stroller at home and didn't want to drive home to get it and then back to Target.  I needed to go Friday because we had a birthday party Saturday.  Luckily there was the perfect cart for us waiting in the parking lot cart return.
Saturday we went to the girls' friend's birthday party.  The girls were invited to the first birthday party of a boy from daycare. The party was at Gymboree Play and Music.  Aaron had to work so I brought the girls by myself.  At first they just sat at the edge taking it all in.  Soon Layla was crawling all around and then Carly opened up.  It was fun to be out.

Both girls loved eating the cake!

After the birthday party, we went to Lydia's house.  Lydia and her husband are moving to Mexico City in June for his job.  Some teachers from school had a going away party for them.  I took the girls with me and Aaron picked them up when he got off of work.  Long day.  I didn't take any pictures there.
Sunday we went to Kayla's house for a crawfish boil.  Ariel and Bryce were there, too.

Monday Lunch

Aaron was off today and his Uncle Joe, who lives in Lubbock, was in town.  Aaron took the girls and met him for lunch.  It was the first time the girls met Uncle Joe. Nana and Bryce came, too!  I missed all the fun because I was at work, but I hear they had a great time. They went to Gringos Mexican Restaurant, after all it was Cinco de Mayo. The girls ate chicken and beef fajita meat.  Yum!

Crawfish and Golf

Arial and Bryce drove up to visit today.  Aaron had to work, but Ariel, Bryce, the girls and I decided to go to the Crawfish Festival in Old Town Spring.  We didn't eat any crawfish, but we did eat a sausage on a stick, fried cheese fries, and a funnel cake.  Yum!

After the festival, Ariel agreed to babysit while Aaron and I went to Top Golf with some friends.  We had a blast!
