Saturday morning, Grandpa, Grandma, the girls and I got back into the car to drive up to St. Louis Park, MN to see Jon, Jaclyn, and Peyton.  They had been having a lot of rain.  That afternoon the rain seemed to let up so we went for a walk around one of the lakes.

The walk didn't last long because it started to storm.  We ran back to the cars and were soaking wet.  After naps, Peyton showed the girls her cool playhouse and even had a tea party for them!

The fun didn't stop there.  The next day the weather was beautiful so we ventured to a strawberry field.  It was one of the few places open due to all the rain, so it was busy.  The owners weren't used to the high traffic so they were a little stressed and overly cautious.  We still managed to have a great time!

New Friends

Luckily, my friend Lisa (Nash) was in town the same time I was.  She came over Friday with her kids for lunch and little play time.  It was good to see her and her kids!

Road Trip!

Grandma flew into Houston Monday, June 23 on a very delayed flight.  Tuesday morning Grandma, the girls and I started our road trip to Iowa.

Some of the time was spent sleeping.

We arrived in Wichita, Kansas Tuesday night.  Wednesday the girls got to see their cousins Jonah and Cora (and they saw Uncle Brandon and Aunt Becca, too).

We spent some time at the zoo and a lot of time playing in the playroom.

Thursday morning Grandma, the girls and I packed up and headed to Des Moines.

Carly drove us over to Lori's house for playtime this afternoon.  (Just kidding, she really didn't drive).

We went to another 1st birthday party today.  This party had a baby pool, small splash pad, and water table.  What fun!

After the party the girls took turns driving the car.  Layla wasn't too sure what she was doing in the front seat.  Carly grabbed the steering wheel right away!

Then we met Dad after he got off work at Buffalo Wild Wings for supper!
